And shoot himself in the foot as far as PAD is concerned? Unlikely.

Actually, I have posted a shot of a portion of my collection before, but it would be difficult to that now since I have been staying with relatives. I still don't have power and I have been going by to change out the watches I carry with me. Without power the winders are not working, I haven't changed the backup batteries in them. My collection is spread out in three rooms and I have run out of space on the winders. Time to buy more winders before I can buy any more watches.

No, that's fine. I knew I had posted them at some point.
Most of the real valuable watches are in safety deposit anyway.
It sucks going home to see if I can stay there, and then have to go somewhere else.

i have one of these, i love it! Ecodrive is the best power system i have ever seen on a watch. it can run for 6 months in the dark, and recharges fully in a couple of hours of direct light!

I have two of the minute repeaters, and one of them stopped working, so I sent it to Citizen. They replaced the capacitor and mailed it back to me free of charge! Awesome Watch and Company!

one of my all time favorite watches (maybe because of where they're made?):
    Bozeman Watch Co.'s The Cutthroat:

luckily only the first run is numbered, so it sounds like they'll still make them after that.
If/when I can ever afford a watch that nice maybe they'll still be available.

holy crap!!! is there such thing as a watch addiction????

isn't the benefit of a spring powered watch the fact that you don't need power? and yet, with no power you're stuck not able to use the watches that excel in a powerless environment. i think this could be ironic.

also, i haven't owned a watch in over 15 years!!!

well, you're missing a few details here. Winders just keep the watch going. So they don't stop and therefore have the correct time. So now he's got to reset all the watches. Also, keeping a watch moving keeps them conditioned (I've been told). But yeah, if you own ONE mechanical watch, they don't stop and it's not a problem. Owning 90 on the other hand, and not wanting to keep resetting them when you wear them, you need powered winders.

I keep them in my many but full watch winders, or in a safety deposit box that is getting crowded, or

in the case of the Citizen EcoDrive's under a lamp that I don't turn off, or

if I could, I would keep them in here...

The AIG building, so if I ran short of cash to buy more watches, maybe I could sign up for a $700,000,000.00 bail-out.

Or if the City of Houston, ran short of cash I could buy this place to display them...

The George R. Brown Convention Center.

    Ok, I'll stop there.

    No, its 18k white gold,
and yeah I love the really extreme Maxi Marines,
but I expected the more extreme of a model I bought the less I would wear it.

New to me is my favorite,
the B&R is actually a limited edition with rose gold and orange luminous paint.
Unfortunately eight of the marks that you want to see are in safety deposit.

    Nice!

Dude, if you wore a different one each day, youd only wear some 4 times a year. How long does it take you to decide in the morning?

I have this rule now, I have to find a deal of better than 50% off in order to buy another watch.
The end of the model year is the best time to find these deals.

but they just came out with it with colored numbers:

    and a chrono version:

I also like the stainless (ie not blacked out) versions as well with either the black face or white face... I just love that watch, but mobbed out would be my first choice I think....

their new magnacon is also kinda cool:http://www.nixonnow.com/watches/elit...acon-A079.html

I wish I had money for watches... I love them but they just get to be too much $$$
I just bought my first automatic Invicta 4847 last month.
My only complaint is it seems to run a bit fast... Seems to gain about a minute or so every week. But I'm still very much a watch n00b.

    I've got a watch question....

Do you know where you can buy watch parts? I have an Accutron 26B60 that I managed to break the crown/stem on... The rest of the watch is still fine but I haven't been able to find any place online that sells parts like that... Do I have to go to a jewler?
