    Dammit!

I just bought a Lexar multi-card reader two weeks ago.

Is there still someone else making CF cards? I'll say, probably.

    plenty of other sources tbot!

I will say if anyone is looking for a kick ass multi card reader that's also stupidly fast (USB3 or firewire2) now is probably the time to buy. It's their tower, whatever it' called and it takes up to 4 readers, you pick the style (some are HD if you want).
    I own this joint!

Sandisk is the only other brand I know people use for events and weddings. Are Transcend cards reliable enough for weddings? Other brands?

I switched to Transcend many years ago after two sandisk card issues. never had a problem. I don't shoot weddings.

yep, but it's stupid fast and works well. I LOVE it. It was much more important to me with my old iMac when I had no usb3 port so I needed a hub and a TB reader but it's even faster on my macbook pro now.

Sandisk all day airry day for me.

This. Only because it's what I've always used though.

yep, me too. I have some 256mb CFs kicking around still. I can remember waiting in line at BB at black friday (the one and only time I did black friday) because I couldn't afford a 256mb normally and it was over half off.
