There is a difference, we have both and all I can remember is I liked the green a lot better so I stuck with it. This was a few years ago I tried the red.

They don't list the green bag on their product page for lump.

Do you charge at them when you see them?
    Stupidity angers me.
If it weren't for the last minute, nothing would get done.

I lucked up and won a medium BGE.
I'm thinking I should sell it and spend a couple hundred out if pocket and get a large egg or vision or kamado.
I am thinking I'll regret the medium as I already wish my Weber 19" kettle was larger at times.

Decided on a vision B diamond. They were on clearance at Sam's for $450 with stand, double stack grate, cover, etc..

I think for the price, it can't be beat. I'd love a large egg, but it's way out of my budget.

yeah, you'll love it. I think it's just a finish difference vs mine. It's the steal of the century in terms of eggs.

I think so too. I couldn't pass it up.

I want to do pizzas, don't want to spend a ton of money right away.
    can I....

Using the included double stacked grate, would Putting a small stone on the bottom grate to use as a heat diffuser and a larger stone on the top grate and get good results? The second grate sits above the felt line so the pizza will be higher in the dome, should work?

Not sure. I think if you put the stone in there while the grill is still cold and heat up slowly together, you will prevent cracking of the stone. Pizza stones don't like direct flames, though.
