I just finally picked up the 12-24mm for sony... I've had a bunch of arch shoots where 16mm was wide enough but ~14mm and a crop to allow me to shoot level would have been MUCH easier and less work in post....

I never shoot anything like that now. Haven't been doing any real exploring. But, I have till next year to invent a need for the wider lens.

    these are NOT small lenses!

but 200 f/2 and 8-16mm f/2.8 would be super useful!!! (the 8-16mm looked to be the same size, maybe even bigger than my sony 12-24mm, yes the fuji is 2.8 to the sony's f/4 but ff -vs- aps-c makes them very similar in noise and DOF).

The 8-16 is about what I was expecting. And damn the 200 f2 is huge. But still probably smaller than the Canon version. And a huge step towards getting sports photographers to switch to fuji.

    Actually I'd bet it's the same or bigger than canon's 200 f/2 but only because it's acting like a 300 f/2.8? it's very.... girthy?
funny thing with fuji is their 100-400 is about the same size and weight as sony's:

the fuji looks shorter but don't let the mounts fool you:
    fuji: 95x211 1375g
    sony: 94x205 1395g

so the sony is actually smaller and weighs only 20g more but covers full frame (I use my long lens on my crop body the majority of the time anyway).

Interesting. I guess there is only so much they can do with size vs. physics. But, the Fuji/Sony 100-400's are both smaller than the Canon version.

The x100t is on the fritz again. Gonna send it in to get repaired then probably sell it.

I may go to just using the iPhone X as my pocket camera, the camera has come a really long way.

Fuji is apparently working on a more videocentric camera for their next body release, the X-H1. And it will be the first Fuji with IBIS.

    Stupidity angers me.
If it weren't for the last minute, nothing would get done.
