It's a garmin problem, actually, not iOS...they've been releasing weekly app updates to try to fix it and failing.

Kirkland diapers. Kinda resenting all those Pamper's commercials I had to watch growing up. Those diapers are complete ****. That being said, having a family is friggin' expensive.

Thanks for that. Reminds me of the small stage at the Newport Folk Fest.

I grew up on 90s Americana(the Asian Indian that I am), among other genre of music. That meant, Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Wilco, the Jayhawks.

I had no idea he was going to be playing about 20 minutes from my house. Usually I am on top of these things but somehow I missed it. Show is February 2nd in Providence. This morning I Googled him to read about the show he did for Doug Jones and the Providence show came up. I immediately went to the venues site but it was already almost sold out, there was only upper 2nd balcony seats left. I went on Stubhub and the tickets were jacked up but someone was selling tickets in the front row of the mezzanine for face value. Had to buy either 1 or 3 so I bought 3. My wife and I are going and I think we want to make it a date night so I will probably resell the 3rd ticket at face value, probably outside the show. I am so excited, I just got a turntable and the first albums I bought new were Southeastern & The Nashville Sound. I saw the Drive-by Truckers once but it was the tour after Isbell left.

Southeastern is just fantastic, absolutely amazing. Nashville sound is really good too, maybe a bit preachy but good.

I've been having issues with this as well. Super annoying. Turning your phone off and back on usually fixes the bluetooth pairing, but it's a PITA for sure.

I'll try to make this brief.
Rented a dumpster and cleaned the basement. Resurrected my old Kenwood receiver but speakers were garbage. Went on Facebook Marketplace and found a pair of Mirage OM-12 in excellent condition cheap. Decided I wanted another pair for the basement and found a pair of Mirage 595is also for cheap. Realized I needed a subwoofer and bought a Definitive Technology PF12TL that came with a pair of Paradigm Monitor 3 and a Paradigm LCR-350 Center Channel (and an older Yamaha receiver) also really cheap. I didn't need the speakers I bought but soon realized I had 7 speakers and a sub so 7.1 surround sound. Next I replaced my old Kenwood receiver with a Pioneer Elite from 2014. Scored an Ethan Allen cabinet and Technics SL-Q350 turntable for $25 total! I got it all setup and the wife requested a projector, so I bought one and got a 100" inch screen. In this photo the projector is on the other side of the beam and the 2 Paradigm Monitor 3s are behind me. None of this stuff ended up in the basement and now we have a 7.1 surround system home theater in our living room. The crazy thing to me is how used fairly high end audio equipment is going for so cheap these days. Maybe people are dumping it and going the bluetooth route. Most of what I bought was from original owners who kept boxes, manuals, and receipts. None of this was planned ahead of time but it was a fun ride and in retrospect didn't really cost all that much.

Thanks guys, I'm really happy with how it came out. Just need to finish up hiding wires and getting some photos & artwork back up on the walls.

Got lucky and found a similar turntable I guy was selling for parts last week and I needed a cover. I had the winning bid at $19.99 today. Turns out the guy lived 20 minutes away in Providence so I went and picked it up as soon as the auction was done and had no shipping costs. Fits perfectly, no more dust!

Nice. I have a couple of Pioneer belt-driven ones put away in case the Technics croaks one day. I think I may also have a Kenwood in the box.

It might make it here by Christmas but I went nuts and ordered a Leatherman Surge with all the bit driver kit and extension for the bit driver. I also already have a bunch of Bosch T socket blades so I can use that with this as the one blade can be swapped for those. Can't wait to get it and start screwing stuff up... LOL. I don't know why I like these damn multitools so much but I do...

If I'm friends with you on Facebook or Instagram you have probably already seen plenty of my photos of this table, if not here's one for you! I found this on Craigslist for a great price and I have become obsessed with it. My Technics is now my backup table.

I was checking daily and actually didn't see the ad until late the night it was posted. I emailed the guy my number and he called me the next morning. He said he wanted me to know it was making a weird humming noise and grounding it didn't make it go away. He had changed the RCA jacks but thought the cable would have to be replaced internally. I said I'd take it anyway. I went to his house and he played it for me and I heard the hum but the turntable was sitting on a receiver and there was a tube amp a foot away with wires crossing over all each other so I figured the hum was interferance. I took it home, hooked it up, and there was absolutely no hum. Paid $200.

Gonna give this a try since most of my portraits are done in different locations. And I read it's simple to make backdrops for it with some grommets and a quick trip to the fabric store.
