You know, I didn't play with the beta at all. I'm pretty interested in the healing brush and the straightening correction.

Hmmm. Never played with the beta. Don't really have an extra $80 sitting around. Worth it?

If you're on 3 or older, definitely worth it. If you are on 4, do the 30 day trial and decide from there.

Yuppers. 3-5 was a decent upgrade. 4-5 is tweaks at this point but will be the last non cloud you'll be able to buy if I had to guess

I just had to do an edit that would have been great to use the new clone tool on. :|

Yeah, I'll probably upgrade for the new clone tool alone...

So, i went aggainst the grain and joined the creative cloud.. payments are just easier for me, and im not aht worried about some of hte issues i have seen posted.
What irks me is i STILL cant get lightroom 5 to be what downloads from teh cloud. I only get 4.6... WTH.

At first I was slightly angry because I felt like I just bought 4. But reading the features I am all, damn, them be some good stuffs. There goes my money.

I am digging the new radial filter

this is worth it for me for the straightening option alone. That's one of the BIG reasons I "need" PS at this point, so it'd be rad to move away from needed it.

I'll be honest. I bought LR3 when it came out but just somehow never made the change in my workflow to use It. With straighten and the clone, I'm in. For a real estate shoot, that would be such an immense time saver even though I try to get it close in camera.

Im with you guys. Clone tool alone will make this worth it.
I havent pulled the pin yet, but will. I am hoping that its better than the Beta on export. It seems to hog every ounce of my computers 8 cores, and 16GB of ram. I cant do anything while its exporting anything more than 30 images? Its strange.

I just bought it. Had a shoot where having stands in the shot was unavoidable and my hamfisted, impatient cloning looks terrrrrrrible. We'll see if LR5's clone tool fares better!

Ugh. So far, I'm less than impressed by the new clone tool.

I doubt it can replace Content Aware in CS, but its great for small stuff that you couldnt do before. Wrinkles, stray pubic hairs (what woman still has any ), ya know the annoying small stuff

It's algorithm for selecting similar content seems fundamentally flawed to me. It's making really weird decisions. Luckily you can jump in and fine tune it, so I think in the long run it'll be a time saver, but it's not as sophisticated as I had hoped. I've also noticed some buggy/flaky behavior with it, which is a bummer.

I agree. Clone something from the face, and it selects an area on the arm?? It is whack sometimes that is for sure.
