Just did the firmware update on the 5D, now I'm thinking about more storage space. B&H has the extreme III 16gig cards for $199 and a rebate of ~$100 ea. Drawback: It's a mail in rebate and the check is only usable at B&H.

Anyone know of anything better?

I'm thinking I want to start shooting RAW + small jpg. I figure that's about 800 shots on a 16gig card. This way, after any shoot I can immediately load the jpgs to my site and get people off my back until I can properly go thru the RAWs.

Hmm this one is a M.I.R. too, but they give you a prepaid visa card instead of store credit and free shipping.

yea, Im picky on cards too. San Disk or Kingston are the only ones I feel comfortable with. I have 2 1gb PNYs for emergencies tho.

Cool, that's a little better, but I think I may just go with B$H that way the forum makes out with some $ too. Thanks for the legwork Luca.

Thanks Leah, that's a good price but I'm looking for 16gig cards or more. Seems that Adorama is about the same price as B$H, but since Adorama has screwed me before they likely won't get the nod.

I'm waiting for prices to come down a bit more personally. Right now I have 2 4gb cards, 1 2gb card and 1 512mb card. I've NEVER had an issue with filling them. The closest I came was on our Canada trip I filled one of the 4gb cards.

but yeah, 16gb in the camera, that's be nice.

I fill 4gig cards like nobody's business. For the wedding last weekend I filled up 10gigs worth of cards without even trying. It's almost worse for motorsports. But I shoot RAW and you're mostly jpg still, right?

Yep, on trips (landscapes) I'm JPEGs. I shoot RAWs around the house now though because it's high ISO and tricky lighting with our mix of incandescents and CFLs.
