Let this known as the PAD themed "roundness".... at least so far. There is a predominance of spheres in the first three photos.

Ben - The picture of the day thing is a fantastic idea whoever's it was. I found myself rushing home yesterday to take a picture of something. I just wish I could get out more.

Tardy has a thread with his other pictures - it was handheld.

so i got myself a bowl of ice cream, drizzled some chocolate syrup on it, and though, "hey, this would make a great PAD" brought it to my computer, and proceeded to eat it with my camera right next to me.

<- hopped on the failboat.

I guess I'll take a bit of credit. I've tried to get this going in NASIOC in years past with no luck. It's not like I invented the idea (I heard about it on PotN), but I know I struggle with keeping up, so having other people all posting/motivating sure helps. :)

LOL More like several thosand a year. Smugmug says I am 67 shy of 13,000 pictures and I have maybe 100 doubles. A month or so ago I figured that is about half of the pictures I had picked out as keepers over the past 3 years and 4 months, so I have lots more processing to do. I would guess at least 60% of those pictures are of her. Her birth was the reason I was able to talk my wife into allowing me to buy the D70.

She is the easiest target and usually likes it when I take the pictures. Much of the time after I am done taking a shot she will run over and ask to see it :) She does have her moments when she wants to have nothing to do with the camera but I am bigger than her so it does not matter :) and those are some of the best shots...

My son has learned to deal with it but the older daughter (15) HATES it, which is why I have a lot of pictures of her hand extended out in protest.

My wife likes it as she has plenty of options for scrapbooking but hates how much I spend on it, which I think has been minimal the past year (I bought the D200/MB-D200, 4GB Extreme IV CF a year ago and 4 sets of AA rechargeables last month). Course I am also trying to save up for a 70-200 2.8 but have sold 1 lens already and trying to sell another to help pay for it.

Thank you very much.

I was wondering what the hell to shoot on Sunday. Matt and Leah were over for a matting lesson, but I was doing the matting so no shooting...

They ended up signing the wall, and Matt gave me something perfect to shoot:

Went to an open range on Sunday. First time in a couple of years... too long... :unamused: Shot a Glock 33 with a 357 SIG and 9mm rounds. Shot a friend's Kimber 45 and HK 9mm. Got to shoot a nice, heavy-barrel AR-15, a tactical M-4, and a tactical FAL shotgun. It was a good time...
