Here was my shot at it:

I didn't do a whole lot with it but want to get rid of that sun flare forever and haven't been able to get it to look right.

You want the flare, but you don't want the blob of orange where the water meets the island. Right?

If this is correct, it might be able to be done with some careful cloning inbetween the sun flare beams, but really I don't see this being removed.

That's what I meant.

I tried zooming in and cloning but ran out of patience after the first ray of sun. The rest looked horrible.

It is possible, but you are dealing with so many levels of opacity in such a small area, it will be extremely difficult.

I just wish it was gone forever.

I love the shot, and want to make a print for the house, but all I'd ever see is that orange blob.

I also adjusted the color just a hair to compliment itself a bit..
Damnit, I just realized I didn't save the edit full size. I will have to work on it later, my laptop is running out of juice and I left my charger at home :(
Back to drinking beer at the bar I go....

I cloned out that strange reflection below the sun that you can see in some of the above shots.

modeleum, that is sweet. I'd love teh full rez as it looks great and I really like it a ton more without that sun splotch.

(I'll make you a print for your efforts, btw if you want it)

Ok, sweet. Nah, don't worry about a print. I might print it later since I have the full res file
