I unscrewed the attachment from my camera last night and the screw (shown) came separated from the plate. I recall it not being able to come out. Did a part fall on the floor that I am missing? wth?

It's a Manfrotto 468MGRC2.

Did you use a tripod? ;)

Nah, hand-held ISO3200.

Here's some ISO6400 goodness and the little C-clip retainer that I found, but I think I'm still missing a flat washer that butts up against the C-clip. Without another washer, it'll just fall into the hole without retaining the bolt. :unamused: I'm still trying to figure out how this thing came off..

sometimes when you're backing off the mounting bolt, the threads can actually engage the retaining c-clip/washer, and then the entire bolt comes out.

that's all i got.

Yeah, that's what I figure. Oh well, I think I fixed it, no thanks to YOU guys. Lazy, sleeping bastards.

And even if you hadn't, you can buy replacement QR plates for like $12.

yeah, I think it's just the C clip on top, no additional washers, but I haven't used an RC plate in years....
